Expected outcome of the measurements to be done
Raman spectra - The Raman band at 475–485 cm−1 has been used as a marker to identify the presence of starch.
Raman spectra of PVA shows characteristic peaks at 1430 cm-1( CH- stretching Vibrations) and 2912 cm-1 ( CH2- stretching Vibration ).
3C-SiC single crystal shows a two strong TO and LO optical phonon mode whose Raman Shift at 796 and 972 cm-1.
PL- SiC shows PL peak at 537 nm and PVA exhibit PL emission in 400-500 nm.
Water contact Angle for Starch - 52.38 degree and PVA- 45.5 degree. Electric Transport Properties : Electrical conductivity is increases with increasing concentration of SiC nanoparticles in PVA matrix .In the nanocomposite films, SiC nanoparticles act as conductive fillers in the hostmatrix and provide the continuous conductive pathways for the transfer of charge from one nanoparticle to another as a result the conductivity of nanocomposite films increases.
FTIR spectra of SiC/ PVA , SiC /Sago-Starch nanocomposite films shows a prominent peak at 862cm-1 ( Si-C bond -Stretching vibration of SiC component in matrix .

1. SiC/ PVA nanocomposite films with 0, 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 6 wt. of SiC NPs in PVA matrix.
2. SiC/ Sago Starch NC films with 0, 0.5, 1, 2,2.5, 4, 5, 6 wt. of SiC NPs in Sago-Starch polymer matrix.
