Eelctromagnetic Induction

Electricity and magnetism are very closely related. A changing electric field will create a magnetic field and a changing magnetic field will create and electric field. A magnet is dropped into a solenoid and the induced voltage is captured. One can study the dependence of the induced voltage on parameter  like the velocity of the magnet, number of turns of the coil etc. A screen shot of the experiment is shown below. You can also do this experiment by running the small program induction.py.
