COMPLAINTS COMMITTEE (ICC)
Internal Complaints
Committee (ICC) will function as per the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and
Redressal) Act 2013. The Act provides protection against
sexual harassment of women at workplace. It is for the prevention and redressal of complaints of sexual harassment and for the
matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. The objective of ICC is to
prevent sexual harassment of women in any form at workplace as well as to
uphold the commitment of the Institute to provide an environment free of
gender- based discrimination. From time to time, the committee will follow relevant Acts, Rules, OM of
Government of India and Court Orders as applicable. The primary motive of ICC is to ensure that no woman shall
be subjected to sexual harassment in any form at her workplace.
ICC may be approached by
any aggrieved woman i.e. any woman employee, female students and women users
(includes visiting faculty and students) working at IUAC. The committee shall examine matters related to
sexual harassments of women at their work place and will recommend suggestions
and proposals to the institute's administration about such matters.
ICC
will take up the following activities.
1. Safety and preventive measures for women to create and
ensure a safe environment that is free of sexual harassment from time to time.
2. Display of penal consequences of Sexual Harassment
conspicuously at the work place.
3. Ensure awareness programmes for sensitizing the employees.
4. Gender sensitization awareness about creating an environment
of gender justice where all can work together with a sense of personal security
and dignity.
5. The committee will admit complaints from
a) Any aggrieved female employee, student or female visiting
faculty and student working at IUAC on harassment, assault and discrimination
in her workplace against other employees/students/visiting faculty/visiting
students/contractor personnel etc.
b) Any aggrieved female on harassment and discrimination in
relation to official activities against other employees/students.
6. Female residents of IUAC campus on harassment, assault and other forms
of misbehaviour inside the residential campus and those cases are not related
to official work will not be handled by ICC.
7. The Committee will conduct inquiry into
the complaints of sexual harassment against the perpetrators.
8. The Committee will recommend on actions
to be taken for any specific complaint.
9. The Committee will report to the
Director.

The following form can be downloaded and send it to ICC
chairperson and its members (at least two of them) for registering the
complaint. The admission of this complaint is subject to physical validation
through signature in the ICC by the complainant(s) within 24 hours of online
submission.
