Phoenix on Windows XP:
Browse the Phoenix CD under windows and goto the 'winPython' directory.

1. Install the packages in the order shown below (just by double clicking on them)
  1. python-2.4.3.msi
  2. pywin32-208.win32-py2.4.exe
  3. pyserial-2.2.win32.exe
  4. PIL-1.1.6.win32-py2.4.exe
  5. numpy-1.1.0-win32-superpack-python2.4.exe
  6. scipy-0.6.0.win32-py2.4.exe
  7. matplotlib-0.98.0.win32-py2.4.exe
  8. gsetup.py
If you have the USB version of Phoenix install the following also.
  1. libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.12.1.exe

Copy (drag and drop) the 'phoenix' directory on the CD to your harddisk. Browse
it and double click on 'applications\guide\guideme.py'. The GUI should appear now.

Troubleshooting:
Open a DOS prompt:

c:>\Python24\python c:\test_phoenix.py

The result should be 15

c:>\Python24\python c:\phoenix\applications\guide\guideme.py

------------------------USB version of phoenix----------------------------
Plug the Phoenix box to the USB port. The 'new hardware found' window should
popup. Choose the Browse option and install the Driver from 'winPython\USBDriver' directory on the CD.
