Diode V-I Characteristic Curve

        This is probably one of the simplest experiment you can do with this kit. The circuit is shown in the figure. The diode and a one kilo ohm resistor in series are connected between the Programmable Voltage Source and ground. Monitor the voltage across the diode using the digitizer. Current flows from the PVS to ground through the resistor and the diode in series. Change the value of PVS, say Vo, from -5 to +5 and read the digitizer voltage, Vi, for each value. The difference of the two voltages divided by the resistance gives the value of I. To get the IV curve, you plot Vi against (Vo – Vi) /R . The software
