Energetic ions are increasingly playing a crucial role in nanostructuring and development of nano materials. Few keV energy ions in plasma, have been in use for growth of nano particle thin films whereas a few hundred keV ions from ion implanters are used for growth of nano particles in a matrix. Higher MeV energy heavy ions have also been used for growth and modification of nanostructures. Ion beam irradiation induced synthesis and modification of nanostructures is the basic theme of this conference. The previous conferences in the series were organized at Allahabad (in 2011) and Jaipur(in 2013).
